Brian Gilligan brings the strategic focus, vision and judgment gained throughout his tenured career with Marriott International guiding the creation and implementation of sales strategies, leading teams, and managing stakeholder relationships to generate sustained positive results. Brian’s more than 25 years of progressive experience has enabled him to overcome major obstacles to increase overall revenue and market share in struggling markets, impact profitability for stakeholder hotels, and grow talent for the company. Over the years, Brian has been recognized with awards, including a 3-time designation for Marriott’s Sales Team of the Year and has been given many Marriott Special Achievement Awards.

As Senior Vice President of Sales for North America, Brian is responsible for top line revenues for North America properties. He plays a key role in ensuring that the strategic priorities of the discipline are designed and executed to yield profitable sales, market share growth, increased competitive advantage, and customer satisfaction. He is responsible for overseeing a talented team of sales leaders including Regional Vice Presidents of Sales & Marketing and brand-specific sales leaders in North America.

Brian is a graduate of the University of Southern New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management and holds an MBA in Finance from the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University.
